What level of English do I need?

Our coaching services are perfect for intermediate to advanced English speakers (B2 level or higher) who want to maintain their English skills and boost their confidence in speaking.

If you aren't sure about your level but you understand all or most of what we say on our website, you'll be just fine. If you're still not sure, schedule a free session -- we're more than happy to chat.

How are your English coaching sessions different to traditional lessons?

We don’t offer English lessons. While most standard lessons focus on grammar, vocabulary lists, and pre-planned topics, our approach allows intermediate "students" to be more involved in the content of their speaking practice and build strong habits around English. The more active and interested you are, the more naturally and confidently you can express yourself, which ultimately leads to better results and long-lasting fluency. 

How do I schedule sessions?

When our calendar is open, you can book your first free introductory session via the booking calendar. Alternatively, sign up to our waiting list to be informed as soon as we are taking on new customers.

If you decide to continue with english coaching, we will send you a link via email where you will have access to our scheduling calendar via our website.

When are you available?

Currently our 1:1 sessions are Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 11:00 and 20:00 CET*, the rest of the week we're working hard & researching the best content for you. If you have specific scheduling preferences, we can discuss them during our initial session. Typically, we are flexible and can find a solution.

Why do you use a subscription model?

We've found that like working out your body, your English speaking needs to be trained regularly and consistently to maintain fluency and confidence. We think that a monthly subscription gives that extra bit of pressure we all need sometimes to make time to work towards our goals. However, we understand that sometimes life gets in the way - a subscription allows us to be as flexible as possible with no cancellation fees or penalties for rescheduling.

What happens if I miss or need to cancel a session?

Life can throw curveballs, if you need to cancel or reschedule a session, just send us a quick message to let us know. No cancellation fees apply, and you can easily reschedule for any date later in the month.

What is the self--learning aspect? Will I have homework?

Our sessions revolve around topics and resources customised to your preferences. We take care of research and provide real-world material, allowing you to focus on the content and discussion.

There are no grammar exercises or homework—but to maximise your sessions, we encourage you to be prepared with talking points and look through the provided material beforehand for inspiration for your speaking practice.

If I haven't used up all of my sessions within the month, do they roll on to the next month?

No. Having a monthly subscription means that we are able to offer very flexible scheduling with no cancelation fees or penalties for missing an appointment. For this reason, our 1:1 speaking sessions are not carried on to other months if you don't use them up in the corresponding month. However, if you know you will be busy you can pause your subscription in advance (before the month you want to pause) for up to two consecutive months.
